(Houston, Texas) - Nationally known music executive, radio personality and writer, Paris Eley has spent the last year penning the much anticipated biography of the life and times of the Reverand Ray Martin Sr.
Eley, a former marketing Senior Vice President with Motown and Atlantic Records, has conducted extensive interviews with the famed Fighting Preacher and writes with the intent to document in history Martin's roles as the civil rights leader who integrated the world of a boxing in Texas, the community leader who founded the historic PABA Boxing Gym in Houston's renown 3rd Ward and the legendary man who knocked Muhammed Ali to the canvas not once, not twice, but three times on July 23, 1971 in the Astro Hall in what has been hailed The Sparring Match of The Century .
